Clarity and Charity in a Time of Panic, with Peter Leithart and Steve Jeffery

Recent research in behavioral economics and psychology has revealed that our decisions are subject to systematic biases that lead to serious mistakes, misunderstandings, and errors of judgment. Christians are not immune from these biases. We often do a bad job of sifting the scientific wheat from the media chaff, and an even worse job of behaving charitably and responsibly when we engage with other believers who think differently. Perhaps a broader awareness of our cognitive biases may enable us as Christians to do a better job of evaluating scientific claims and handling matters of conscientious disagreement.
