PRESIDENT'S ESSAY
You Hold the World
POSTED
February 3, 2026

"All things are yours," Paul says at the end of 1 Cor 3, then specifies: Paul, Apollos, Cephas, world, life, death, present and future.

It's all ours, because we're Christ's and Christ is God's.

The world doesn't belong to Satan. It doesn't belong merely to Jesus. Jesus shares His domain and His dominion with us, His body and bride.

The Eucharist signifies this truth: At the table, we receive products of the earth, transformed by human hands - nature and culture.

We participate in the body and blood of the risen Christ, and get a taste of life after life after death. The Lord's Supper is the present of the future feast of the kingdom.

When you hold the bread and wine, you hold the world and all that is in it, because you have Christ, in whom all things consist.
