Online Term
Description

8am – 10am CDT
Meet via Zoom

Taught by Peter Leithart

Sacrifice is a central biblical category, linked with worship, Christian living, and the cross. Yet Leviticus, the biblical text that deals most thoroughly with sacrifice, is a closed book to many believers.

In this four-part workshop, Peter Leithart will examine the theological roots of Levitical sacrifice and the symbolism of blood, flesh, and fire; the various rituals of sacrifice and their uses in Israel's life and worship; the nexus of sacrifice, sanctuary, and priesthood; the meaning of atonement; and the New Testament's usage of sacrificial categories.

Registrations opens Friday, August 9

The course will meet for four Saturdays (Sept 21, 28; Oct 12, 19), starting at 8 am Central.

Peter Leithart is President of Theopolis.
