The Theopolis Institute has appointed John Crawford as Executive Director.

John has been a student in the Junior Fellows Program this year, and proven to be an enthusiastic and articulate advocate of Theopolis’s vision.

“Theopolis brings a unique, comprehensive paradigm to cultural change – with the Church at the center,” he said. He singled out Theopolis’s “appreciation for what God is doing in the many traditions of his Church throughout the world.”

John comes to Theopolis with nearly twenty years of business experience, most recently as part owner of MeTEOR Education, a Florida-based company that supplies furniture and classroom design for public schools.

He will be in charge of strategic planning, fund-raising, finances and staff, and will help with program development.

“I hope to bring passion and ideas to the Institute,” Crawford said. He looks forward to “envisioning the future of Theopolis and using my organizational experience in achieving it.”

“John has gifts that Theopolis sorely needs to build momentum,” said Theopolis President Peter Leithart. “We’ve needed someone like John for several years, and his willingness to take on this challenge is an answer to many prayers.”

John lives in the Birmingham area with his wife, Tina. The Crawfords have four children and a newborn granddaughter.
